Currently cast in Ghetto and i will also be taking on the role of Asst Director. i’m excited about it, and i know it will be amazing!

While in NYC i spoke with Jen from Broadway Impact about doing things in the small town of Denton, TX. Broadway Impact is a great organization trying to use theater to bring attention to the issue of trying to legalize Gay Marriage everywhere.

I’m trying to write plays, shoot music videos and just have some fun. Despite being busy as hell, time to get back to my art.

It was a great run of the show, with amazing laughs, and fun had by all. Not to toot my own horn but a lot of people came up to myself and the cast talking about how much they enjoyed the show. the most rewarding feeling in the world is to look at the audience as they are watching the show and see them genuinly enjoying it. it makes me feel happy!

during the friday night performance, the playwright (CJ Ehrlich) came down from New York to watch the play is our little town of Denton TX. it was reat having her join us annonymously from the shadows and watch her work come to life. here is a fun photo of her, myself and the cast.

It was an amazing experience i wouldn’t trade for the world. I guess now its time to move onto finding another project! but thank you again to CJ, to the cast, to UNT, and to everyone who made it possible. ‘

So i just finished my first two rehearsals for “Whom Death Doth Seee/k” and things are going amazingly well. The cast is very good with each other and very responsive to both the script and several character excersizes im putting them through. all is going well.

My friend and website developer Michael (www.michaeltobias.com) helped develope the first promo image for the play. you all should check it out!

The comedies make me laugh, the action movies make me want to fight, the heartwarming feel goods make me smile, and even the sad chick flicks get me weepy. They are all doing what they are supposed to except for one genre……horror.
currently horror movies don’t entertain me in the way they should. There are no chills in my spine, prickles on the back of my neck, and that feeling of suspense that make you jump when someone unexpected enters a room. The horror genre has been lacking that for sometime. the last movie i saw that gave me chills was 1408, but both before and after that, horror is lacking its luster. It has become a stomping ground for sequels, remakes, and low budget badly written unheard of DVD in your local video store(or netflix).
Most of the villains who are human in some shape or form, have been turned into comedic roles who just so happen to kill people].When did the great Freddy Krueger become a stand up comedian, and since when did he and Jason decide to be in a movie together. Violent death’s full of gore may be gross and make you wince, but that doesn’t mean they are scary. point in case, SAW I-X(i dont know if there are ten, but it feels like it by now). SAW is gross, and sick, and twisted, but its not horrifying. It doesn’t make you check under your bed, or in every closet, or fear walking across the hall to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It just makes you want to barf, or laugh. The scariest thing about that movie, is that the writers actually thought of those tortures.
